First, I'm really sorry for Unmasker's Domain vanishing from the face of the Earth. I know a lot of you really enjoy this site or at least come here a lot to get your unmasking fix. I'll do my best to build another site just as good and to keep anything like this happening again.
The reason the original Unmasker's Domain disappeared is that somebody hijacked it. I don't know why or even how. Maybe they got my password somehow, although I did my best to keep it safe, but I don't know. One thing about Google, who hosted the site, is that one screen name and password gets you into everything, so they didn't just hijack the blog but also my email and address book, my YouTube, Google Drive and Picasa where I stored most of the photos and videos, etc. The worst thing is that when they got doing whatever they did with those, they deleted the whole account. I contacted Google about recovering it but evidently got there too late for that. Incidentally, Google swears they didn't delete it for some reason, which was my first thought.
So, to be honest I wasn't going to try and rebuild at first. It was kind of discouraging, plus I had that site since 2006 so there is a lot to restore. But I've got back up copies of almost all the pictures and videos so finally I decided to give it a go. I'm kind of addicted to unmasking superheroines anyway.
As you probably noticed the address of this new site is one letter different from the last one: This one is UnmaskerDomain.blogspot.com and the original one was UnmaskersDomain.blogspot.com with the 's' on "unmaskers." I made it as close as possible so it will be easier to Google the new blog.
Also, did any of you see anything unusual on the site or get an out of the ordinary email from my old email (unmasker1@gmail.com, which no longer exists) some time in late June? I'd really like to know what these guys were doing with my account when they had it.
Sorry again. Now back to exposing masked maidens to the world!
welcome back! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you decided to continue blogging. This time...you'll have a super tough password.
ReplyDeletewelcome back. MISSED YOU BROTHA! Email me and I have some security tips! (cant here of course!!)

That freaking sucks. I hate how Google has one universal password now and tries to combine everything! But at least you're back
ReplyDeleteYeah, they market the 'one password to rule them all' as a strength, and it is convenient. But it's their biggest weakness too. Now I feel everybody I know to use random password generator, a password safe, two step log in, and anything else you can do to keep that one little password safe!
ReplyDeleteI am happy of this return, this site had missed me (Ceramos)
ReplyDeleteGood to see you back!
