Her famous proportional speed and strength of a spider gone, Arachni-Girl was now just an ordinary and very exhausted masked woman. But The Question wasn't done with her yet...
"I have always wanted to ask
you a question, my dear Arachni-Girl: Who are you behind your mask? Well now that I've sapped you of your powers and beaten you, it looks like I finally have the perfect chance to unmask you! C'mon heroine! The cameras are waiting!"
"C-- cameras?" the weak and bruised girl cried. "No! You can't! Please, if you take off my mask I'll be ruined!"
Ruined you say? Tell us more Arachni-Girl. You heroines are always so paranoid about having your true identities revealed. Tell us more about how this will ruin you. Inquiring minds want to know!"
"Please, Question, I'm begging you! You don't understand! If you unmask me on camera I'll be completely vulnerable. People will discover who I really am and track me down! And my enemies will find me and take revenge on me. There's no telling what they'll do to me! So, Please! Whatever you do don't take off my mask!"
"Thank you. Thank you for explaining that, Arachni-Girl. It gives us all a better understanding of the terror you would go through... if I DID THIS!!"
"No, no! Question please NO!!"
With a quick movement Question grabs the powerless girl's mask and begins pulling it off her face. Arachni-Girl screams as though she has been run through with a sword.
"Ha Ha! So that's who you are, eh Arachni-Girl? Well, now let's stand you up so the whole underworld can finally see your pretty face! Here, I'll help you... heh heh heh!"
"Question! You monster! How could you do this to me?? You're destroying me -- and enjoying it! Please let me have my mask back before they see me!"
The heroine's eyes were filled with helpless tears as her tormentor tried to pull her in front of the camera and expose her secret to the world.
"When I'm having such a fun time with you beautiful! I hardly think so!"
"Gotcha!" The Question murmured into her ear. "Now look at the camera... Heh heh heh! I've finally won at last, Arachni-Girl! And now... to throw you to the wolves!"
Squirming, crying and begging for some shred of mercy, the defenseless beauty was cruelly shoved into the waiting camera, exposed without her mask.
"And now fellow criminals and super villains, I present your most hated foe as you have always wanted to see her: Unmasked! I am sure that some of you recognize her pretty face. Yes it's true! Arachni-Girl is actually Elise Graham, the District Attorney!!"
